We run two separate streams for this course, one for people with 5+ years of industry experience (experienced stream). We also run classes for those with less than 5 years’ experience (standard stream).
For our experienced stream, you must be currently working in the building and construction industry with at least five years experience or you have already obtained a Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building).
Your study will be part-time two nights per week and run between 45- 58 weeks depending on your level of experience in the industry. You will be expected to commit to 7 hours of allocated class time and up to 8 hours or more of assessment completion outside of class each week.
We can offer you a Diploma of Building and Construction online through our virtual classroom or in-person depending on your location and requirements.
Assessment combines classroom participation, observation, practical and written presentation and self-paced exercises online in the students’ own time. They will also be assessed on the development of a portfolio of evidence throughout the duration of the course.
We supply most materials and will contact you once you’re registered to confirm final unit selection, materials and fees.
