At the end of this month, we’re excited to be rolling out a new structure for our Certificate and Diploma courses in Building and Construction:
- CPC40110 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building)
- BSB41415 Certificate IV Work Health and Safety
- CPC50210 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building)
- CPC50308 Diploma of Building and Construction (Management)
In line with participant feedback and our students’ key career goals, we’ve developed a longer and more robust curriculum for each course—including project-based assessments and new interactive environments for online learning.
Virtual classroom update
Online teaching makes our courses more accessible and easy to incorporate into a full-time work week. Many students complete their Certificate and Diploma qualifications through a mix of classroom-based and online learning.
Our new, virtual classroom technology is more interactive, allowing for group work and discussion as well as direct Q&As with trainers.
Because it’s accessible through the Vet Fee Help loan, the updated CPC50210 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) teamed with our virtual classroom allows people from all over Australia to enrol with Builders Academy.
Licensing and registration mentoring
We’ve learned that a major goal for our students is to understand the requirements for registration with the Building Practitioners Board. So we’ve teamed up with a licensing and registration expert to develop a cluster of units that directly address the application process.
This means that upon completion of the new CPC50210 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building), Builders Academy students will be ready for assessment with the VBA.
We’re also offering mentoring support to guide graduates through their applications. Some organisations are offering this service at a cost of up to $5,000, but we’re bundling it into our Builders Academy Diploma course at no extra charge.
Everyone enrolled in our Diploma starting on or after 31 May will be transferred to the new course structure. If you’d like to get in touch for a chat about the new curriculum and mentoring program—or find out how to enrol—request callback here or phone the team on 1300 LEGEND (1300 534 363).
