Builders Academy Australia Helps their Students with Builders Registration

29/06/2018

Doing the hard yards to become a registered builder is one thing. Getting through the builders licencing application is another. At Builders Academy, we’re here to provide you with guidance on the process for both.

We know that preparing for registration is a complicated and time-consuming process. That’s why we’ve developed the Builders Academy Domestic Builder Registration Mentoring Program.

Becoming registered will help you take your building and construction career to the next level, and we want to make the process as convenient and stress-free as possible.

To break it down, let’s look at what our program offers, who is eligible to enrol, and the benefits of builders registration you can expect.

What Our Program Offers

To get your builders licence and apply for registration with the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), you need specific skills, knowledge and experience. There are many complex documents you need to fill out, and without guidance, it can be easy to miss important details.

Essentially, this is what our program aims to tackle. Right now, we only offer the program to Victorian students currently studying the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building & Construction (Building) and/or the CPC50220 Diploma of Building & Construction (Building).

The reason for this is that registration and licensing requirements differ from state to state.

While we’ve covered Victorian requirements at this stage, we hope to offer this service to people in all states as soon as we can. If you’re looking for more information about this, it’s best to check in with your relevant regulatory office.

So what exactly do we offer? To break it down, the program involves:

  • A three to four-hour seminar
  • A face-to-face review of your application
  • Follow-up phone or email guidance throughout the whole process.

The seminar is where you’ll receive the bulk of your guidance. We’ll give you a thorough breakdown of the entire process of obtaining Domestic Builder Registration with the VBA—including your application, exam and interview.

We’ll also dive deep into the nitty gritty, looking at all the different registration categories, how to complete each section, how to demonstrate your work experience, and everything you’ll need to study in order to pass with flying colours.

We Offer Ongoing Support

At Builders  Academy we want to help you achieve your goals, which is why you can always turn to us for help.

We cover a lot of ground in the seminar. That’s why we’re more than happy to offer ongoing support once you start putting your builders licencing application together.

This means you can email or call your facilitator if you have any questions about the application forms, or if you need any guidance on what exactly to include in each section.

As we mentioned above, we’ll sit down with you face-to-face once you’ve completed your application and provide feedback, check it for thoroughness and chat about any other relevant topics.

Benefits of Getting Registered

You might be wondering why registration is such a complicated process. The fact is, the building and construction industry is highly regulated and constantly evolving.

To keep on top of it all, it’s important that you have the right qualifications, and understand how to pass registration. The best part? If you’re successful with all of this, your career and job prospects will really start to open up.

Depending on your interests and experience, you can find work across many exciting areas of the building and construction industry—from commercial and residential, to agricultural and environmental.

Plus, if you’re keen on starting your own business, being registered is an important step in making this happen. You’ll be able to work with your own team, take on your own clients, and work towards developing a niche in the industry.

Start the Process Today

The great thing is, enrolling in our program won’t cost you a thing—as long as you’re currently studying the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building & Construction (Building) and/or the CPC50220 Diploma of Building & Construction (Building) with this study available via face to face or online ‘Virtual Classroom’ modes.

These building and construction courses are designed to give you the skills, knowledge and experience to prepare for your builders registration. But as we all know, getting through the builders licence application can often be the toughest part.

With this in mind, if you have any questions about the program, or you’re interested in enrolling in one of our building and construction courses, get in touch and we’ll be happy to chat about your options.
